Comparison:
Ok lets start our journey here, this is a f2p 3D game.
There are really a lot of system in this game which
I really love it much. Especially the Battle system : Basic Battle,
Combo, Battle mode, PVP, PK and of course last and not least our
Guild battle system, later on in my review I will actually introduce this system to you. The different between this and others 3D game is that ,you get exp from each hit and not killing each monster, don?t get it confuse that if u use an AOE (Area of Effect) you will only get one hit exp, Nope! you will get more exp than your usual exp. This game is also Quest based game ,what do I mean by it, it means each and every level you will have few quests and after doing all this quests you will get 1 level because the exp given in this quests are a lot, sometime you even get more than 1 level. The character in this game is also much different from other game ,there are FORCE sheilder, FORCE archer and more...There a lot of thing that I love this game than others games...but I can?t say all in one "breath" so I will introduce you while we get along....*There a lot more I didn¡¯t mention here*:P
First Impression:
My first impression of this game is AVERAGE! yea you didn?t see wrong it AVERAGE! When you get in game you will see the AVERAGE graphics! BUT when your level get higher your amour start to look cool and also when you getting new skills such as AOE ^^.The trees, Ice, water all looks realistic. Yes one of the most system I love is WARP gates. Warp gates can be used only at level 3 or greater. These Warp gates link you to Time limited dungeon(Which you will need to get in , killing mobs, secret lamp to complete your quest in a limited time WOW) and to others world such as. .Bloody ice, Desert Scream, Green despair and more...When you first get into the DS or GS you will not be able to see the map until you finish a quest that will reward you a DS OR GS map. Not to forget the upgrading system in this game, you need certain level to upgrade your stuff especially the upgrading of CORE to your armour which will eventually rotate around your armour.. This core will cost really expensive. Before you can learn this upgrading skill you need to have License which you going to be reward in a quest this similarly apply to Battle System, Combo system and more....
Graphics:6/10[If you treat graphic importantly] 8/10[If you are those who don?t treat graphic importantly]
The graphic to me is average compare to other 3D games.. but the realistic look ok the water, forest makes me rate it between 6-8 upon 10.Why didn¡¯t I actually rate it higher, it because the skill and the armour of the game really look cool and really different compare to other 3D games which almost looks alike. The monster looks real and actually NEW idea which have Huge Battle, Toad, Troglo and more...If you still don?t know what are this monster are explore yourself because there are hundreds more. The graphic that I like the most is the CORE rotating around your armour, actually I am not that sure whether is it the core or something else rotating around the armour, if you know please correct me :P.
Sound:4/10[No jukebox] 10/10[Juke Box]
The game music is horrible ,really I swear...I asked 10 and 10 tell me that the music in the game really....Especially in bloody ice. But the skill effect was great. But in order to make the sound 10/10 use Juke Box which I mention above 10/10[Juke Box] you can actually change your music file to OGG format and drag the music into the Jukebox File in the cabal file ,so The sound is bad or best is actually lie on you :).Lets not talk much about the sound xD...
Gameplay:8/10
YES YES YES! finally get to the exciting part of my whole review. The game play consist of PVP,PK which you guys actually really familiar to it so it same apply to basic battle. So now let me introduce you to a new battling system the COMBO system ;),you actually need to be level 10 to finish up the quest to get this combo system, this combo system allow u to easily hunt stronger monsters ,combo skill ill fail in case the target monster dies ,you get out of the Combo Point range or you die. And now lets move on to Battle Mode system which when you activate Battle Mode which will requires SP, will last until one SP gauge bar is consumed. Each Battle Style has unique Battle Modes that enables the users to display more powerful attack and defense strength. And of course the Guild battle system is war between Guild and Guild. Now let me introduce you GPS. This GPS system is actually a map system ,it can actually tell you now which is the place best for you to hunt at your current level, where is the quest place. Why didn¡¯t actually I rate this gameplay to 10 because this game is quite likely QUEST based game unless you want to hunt stuff, what I mean by Quest based game is actually you do not need to train on monster, you just have to keep doing quest and you will gain level which make the game EASY compare to other game that you need to train by killing monsters. Now this game have 6 Jobs : Force Sheilder, Warrior, Force Archer, Blader, Wizard, Force Blader ,so you have to explore it yourself again ;P
Community:10/10
There is party system, guild system, friend system, chat system and trade system. Partying with others enables you to gain more experience points than playing solo. When partying, members who inflict more damage than the others will receive more of the extra party experience points.
In other words, characters making a high contribution in hunting will level up faster than others in the same party, this is quite likely like flyff when you make the party to contribution. There is all type of chat system: Party chat, Channel Chat, Public Chat, Whisper, Guild Chat, Trade Chat. As the Buddy list you have Blocked list, Friend list and Guild list.
Value:8/10[If you are that "ahem"] 9/10
This game will last forever if you are people that love crafting, and like to have spree quest ;).From this game you can actually acquire skill of upgrading stuff, doing quest in a limited of time, hunting and skill of trading. Breadth of gameplay options and overall volume of content both weigh heavily into this score so I had actually rated it very high. This game really worth a try!
Unique feature: Battling system and characters :)
Personal Rating : 9/10

Cabal Online: The Revolution of Action
by Didi Cardoso
Platform: PC
Production: ESTsoft Corp / Games Masters
Rating: RP (Rating Pending)
I was one of the fortunate first hundreds to join the closed beta stage for Cabal Online. I don't know, there is just something about betas that attracts me, but it's especially the fact that I get to experience something first-hand before the game world starts getting crowded.
Unfortunately, even the closed beta was cut short for North-American users because of overpopulation. The number of users ended up in four times the server capacity. I mean, if it's a closed beta, you should be controlling how many people you're allowing in, right? Well, apparently not, so I only got to play for a couple of weeks (especially because downloading the client through a torrent took me days), but it was enough to get a good grasp of the game mechanics and overall feel of the game.
Cabal Online is a very popular third-person Korean MMORPG that is now being released in English. If you have played any MMO before, you will feel comfortable with the interface right away. If you haven't played any MMO before, you will adjust quickly, since the game itself teaches you what to do via quests right from the beginning.
Character creation is a fairly easy point and click process. The interface gives you a good description of each of the available six classes (battle styles). You have Warrior (pure melee), Wizard (pure caster), Blader (which is basically the class that can dual-wield weapons), Force Archer (ranged combat), Force Blader (a mix of magic combat with sword skills) and the one I picked, Force Shielder (blade and magic shield combat).
There are enough customization options for face and hair, but the character creation screen doesn't really explain which stats are the most important for each class, so you're not wasting your points distributing them into the wrong stats.
Although I didn't try the others, I really enjoyed playing a Force Shielder. It’s pretty cool how you have to "summon" your shield before you head to combat, since you carry around a magic crystal instead of an actual shield.
The most unique aspect of Cabal compared to other MMOs is that you don't just push a button and your character auto-attacks. Combat requires you to use your regular attack and special skills, so you have to constantly be pressing those hotkeys. Skills are purchased from trainers, but you are only allowed a limited number of them for each category. If you decide you don't want a certain skill, you can forget it to make room for another.
Aside from skill combat, there is a complex combo system that requires you to first activate it and then time your special skill attacks for the combo to keep going. If you miss to use a skill when the meter tells you to, the combo breaks. I never got the hang of it. The good news is, you don't get experience just upon a kill: every hit earns you some experience points, and the higher the hit, the more experience you get.
Moving around is as simple as point and click. The game's GPS system already has all NPCs marked on the map with icons and a legend, it will show you Warp Gate locations when you discover them, and it will mark quest-related locations for where you must go or who you must talk to next. There is also a handy feature that marks areas in a color-coded scale according to the difficulty of monsters, so you know not to venture to the red zones. The GPS system includes maps for all the world areas.
During the beta stage, there were three worlds open, Bloody Ice, Green Despair and Desert Scream, but there are eight in total. Each has its own very unique landscape, NPCs and monsters, and you will see how the classes vary from town to town, so apparently everyone has their own starting point set according to the battle style they chose at character creation. To navigate from world to world, there is a room with doors that teleport you to where you want to go. In this room there is also another door that takes you to dungeons.
Dungeons offer you the choice to adventure by yourself or in a party, and many quests require you to go in to one of them and clear every monster inside within a time limit. These are a blast to complete, since they put your skills to the test (especially promotion quests, which you do every 10 levels for class advancement), and as soon as you enter you are accompanied by some very cool rock music.
Other interesting features include an in-game lottery, crafting and item upgrading, which is very similar to the one in Thang. PVP combat is also an option especially on a large scale. Aside from Guild wars, Cabal introduces Planetary wars where a series of new dungeons are waiting to be discovered.
I found Cabal to be a very sharp and beautiful game, especially the detail on the characters and their equipment. The animations are really nice and I spent quite a bit of time experimenting with all the emote commands to see how they moved. They're very fluid and realistic, and I was particularly amused by my character's cheerful dance.
In the end, Cabal Online showed great potential during the beta stage. The originality of the classes and combat system made it stand out, and I'm sure that with time it will be competing with mainstream titles, especially because you don't need a powerful system to run it. Give it a try and see how you like it.

Cabal Online: The Revolution of Action
Author: WNxFallenAngel
Introduction
Cabal is a great free MMORPG game. It is set in third-person mode and has many great points to it. It would seem MMORPG games have been getting more complexed over the years and this game is definitely one that proves it.
ESTsoft were very clever when making clever, they made sure the avoid the main problems found in MMORPG games. On being PKing, Pking is one item addressed in Cabal, PKers are given penalties like not being able to buy from shops. Another problem most MMORPG games has is leveling, sometimes it takes years for you to get passed the high levels. However in Cabal it takes less then half the time, but there is still lots to keep you occupied
Story
Long ago in ancient Nevareth the people started to commit great sins which the CABAL, a secret religious group were not pleased with. The CABAL brought for evil to cleanse the land, however seven great masters of force led survivors into rebuilding the continent. Years have passed and the people of Nevareth have lived in peace. However the CABAL have rose again to cleanse the land, doing so by controlling evil. They are trying to breed a child to become King of Nevareth. However you play the hero, helping to battle against the evil and keep it out of Nevareth, whilst trying to find out who is behind the strange attacks. You must choose one of six authentic combat skills which have been passed down through the ages of Nevareth. Then you will set off around the battle-scarred and monster ridden continent over icey ground and dangerous jungle to try defeat the evil.
However you are not alone, there wil be many friends, foes and monsters. During the hard times you must stay focused and be watchful as some friends might turn against you. Strangely enough you could end up befriending some foes!
Gameplay
Basic Battle System:
This allows players to use skills which they have upgraded and to regain SP (spirit points). One of the features is auto-attack, which lets you automatically attack an enemy just by right-clicking on them. Also it enables you to use skills which you can create shortcuts to. Another feature is using hp potions to regain health and mp potions to regain magic/energy.
Spirit Points are quite important and are unlocked at lvl20 when you learn the Aura Mode battle style. Aura Mode lets you channel energy to help you lessen damage and have more chance of getting a high hit. However you can only use the SP when you have 1 full lamp on the gauge, as it uses up 1 gauge each item you use it. Later on you get to do battle mode. Which boosts your attack and at higher levels will transform your weapon.
Combo Battle System
This gives the player a better chance of defeating higher-level monsters by letting you continuously use skills. However it only works if the monster is in range and will stop when you or the monster die. To get combo first of all you must meet the requirements to level up and require the skill. Also you must drag down the skill from special skills into the quick-use box. A counter will come up on the side telling you how many hits you have made.
A screenshot of combo bar.
PK System
Play killing is when the other player doesn't give approval to a PvP (player vs player). Therefore ECTsoft have battled the common problem and have made up punishments. There is no way you would accidentally kill another player, as a warning message comes up. Then if you persist in PKing you will be punished:
Level 1 PK: Cannot use shops for 10 minutes. This can start from 2 PKs.
Level 2 PK: Cannot use shops, storage or do any quests for 30 minutes .
Level 3 PK: Cannot use shops, storage, do quests and will be able to be PKed without the other player being given a penalty. Lasts for 60 minutes.
Level 4 PK: Cannot converse with NPCs and will drop items upon death. Lasts 100 minutes.
Level 5 PK: Player will be place in a confined prison for 150 minutes.
Characters
Not only do you get to customize your character at the start but you get to choose from one of six combat skills to play with. These are: Warrior, Wizard, Blader, Force Archer, Force Shielder and Force Blader. The character customization lets you create up to 6 characters, meaning you could have a taste of each skill, however it is best to work on one character first.
Screenshot of character customization.
Warriors: People who possess the warrior skill are inherited form the first force. They tend to sue the force to give good physical attacks. As you develop in the game you will need to put more point son strength then on intelligence and speed. They wear armoured and wield great swords or daikantas.
Bladers: These are people who have inherited the second force. They use the forces power as well as their ever developing speed to perform dazzling moves. They use two-handed swords like blades or katanas, as well as a light martial suit. Therefore it is plain speed is the key feature.
Wizards: They manipulate the last force to cover up for their lack of strength. They use powerful magic energy to crush their foes. They tend to wear orbs on their hands to let them perform multiple spells and wear a light martial suit. However while they are not strong or quick, they are full of intelligence. An advantage of a wizard is the fact they can attack from a distance.
Force Archers: This skill was independently developed away from the sage tower. They have developed from teh wizard orb and made crystals which control the magic better. The crystals then helped them create astro bows. They were battlesuits which are light but offer more protection then a martialsuit, seeing as they make quick long-range shots.
Force Shielders: Noticing how the archers had made the astro bow they took tehy idea and made the crystal into a force shield. These shields have a high defense but can also be used as offense. Unlike the force archers they use the force for close-range combat and therefore require a lot of strength. Therefore they need good defense and wear amour sets.
Force Bladers; This lets the player use sword and magic together. They wield a katana in one hand and a orb in the other. They rely on speed so wear a battlesuit to move around quickly. However since they wield a sword and a orb they try to keep their physichal and intelligence equal.
Armour
There are three types of amour in Cabal. There is the strong and defensive amour sets, the light martial suits and the defensive and quick battle suits. Each character skill seems to favor one of these amours. Each town has a armatures, however they seem to sell one type of amour, therefore you might have to move around a bit. Not to worry though when you kill a monster they sometimes drop amour items.
This is the amour worn by Warriors and Force Shielder's. When you start out in Cabal you will be given training amour which is basic but as you level up you will be able to wear the higher level amour.
This is the battlesuits worn by the Force Archers and Force Bladers. In the sets there is battle gloves, battle boots, battle suit and a battle helmet. However in character options you can choose whether to view the helmet or not, as some people prefer the helmet off.
This is the martialsuits typically worn by Wizards and Bladers.
Weapons
In Nevareth there are six different kind of weapons, each suiting a skill, however some might suit more then one. Like the armour the higher level you are the better the weapon is.
These are greatswords are two handed swords, which have the best strength out of all the weapons. The greatsword is wielded by the Warrior class.
The Daiktanas are are also two handed, but have less strength. However they are lighter and have a higher hit rate so are also favoured by Warriors.
These blades are one handed weapons, which are usually used as a duel weapon. They are surprisingly heavy and are used by Force Bladers and Force Shielders.
The Katana is a light but still powerful weapon. It is used in one hand and like the blade is usually used as a duel weapon. Bladers and Force Bladers tend to use them.
Orbs intensify the power of the force but also lets the wearer control it. The orbs are worn by Force Bladers and Wizards, as they let them use magic.
They are better at controlling the force then the orb. Force Archers and Force Bladers use them to be able to use the Astro weapons.
Transport
Of course their is walking round the map, but that will take for ever. So instead ECTsoft left a couple of transport items and portals. One of these items is the return stone, which when you click on it lets you return to the nearest town (saves you from dying a lot ). Other items which will help quicken up your journey back to the town are the Astral board and Astral bike. However only higher level players may purchase the items,b ut with levelling up being so fast in Cabal you'll have one in no time.
The Astral board.
The astral bike.
Also to help you get from map to map their is the helpful teleport. However to get to a map you must have the maps GPS card. However the first few beginner maps are easily obtained and they contain plenty of quests to keep you entertained at the start. When you step through the teleport you will enter a room with lots of doors each with a symbol above them. Also there is the dungeon door, which when you have a dungeon quest will take you to it.
Maps/Areas:
--------------These are the first three levels.
Bloody Ice
Desert Scream
Green Despair
-------------
Port Lux
Fort Ruina
-------------
Undead Ground
Forgotten Ruin
Lakeside
Most towns have a weapon seller, amour seller, core alchemist, Grocer (hp&mp). However the first 3 levels have officers and trainers, while some have port agents. All towns have guards and will give you quests as well as quests from the other NPCs.
Quests
There are over 200 quests too keep you occupied on your ventures throughout the continent on Nevareth. There are the Normal quests which all people will end up doing and their are quests which will lead onto new branches of quests. Also when you pick your combat skill you will receive percific quests for it like Wizard Quests. The quests have many rewards whether they are special items, money or exp. However to be able to do some quests you msut be at a certain level, so just be wise about what you level up.
Ending Comments
Cabal is a great game which will keep you busy with its quests. I think Cabel is a really good MMORPG and has avoided many of the problems MMO games seem to have. Leveling up is easy but you won't be done with Cabal too quickly.
Graphics=9/10. There are really good graphics and the makers have really paid attention to detail. Even the tiniest things people don't notice are really effective. However some of the monsters do look a little unreal but the game is a fantasy.
Gameplay=8/10. The gameplay is really good. You get to learn new skills and you can craft rare materials. The fact it has the combo mode is a great addition to the game.
Content=9/10. With 200+ quests you will be busy for ages. You will overloaded with too many quests, but you get the chance to go back to them. My only worry is that people will level up a bit too quickly and the quests will just over shadow the fun.
Overall=9/10. Cabel is great for anyone looking for a free MMORPG. It has all the great additions you expect to find in a MMO but also avoids the common problems of a MMO. The game will have you in amazement and the servers are always busy, but they have enough for all its players.
Thank you for reading
